The complaint

Michael Kelley v. Ken Kamba Electric, Inc. and Does 1-10, No. 2:26-cv-09757 (C.D. Cal.), is an eleven-page complaint filed September 1, 2026, ECF No. 1, with a jury demand.

What it alleges

Kelley alleges he took and owns seven original photographs registered with the Copyright Office, and the complaint's comparison charts list each under Registration No. VA 2-349-172. It describes Ken Kamba Electric as a California corporation based in Culver City that controls the kenkambaelectric.com website, and alleges that the company displayed the photographs on its projects page for commercial purposes without authorization. The single claim pleads copyright infringement.

Kelley seeks an injunction, the defendants' profits and his losses or, at his election, statutory damages under 17 U.S.C. § 504, costs and fees under 17 U.S.C. § 505, and interest.
