The complaint
Wareka v. GLOgeous by Regina LLC d/b/a Glogeous Aesthetics & Wellness, No. 4:26-cv-01469 (E.D. Mo.), was filed September 14, 2026, ECF No. 1 (6 pages). Wareka, a fashion and beauty photographer who is a German citizen living in Germany, pleads one count of copyright infringement. The docket lists the complaint as a non-jury demand.
The work
Wareka alleges she created a professional photograph of a female model titled "AU11452057," that she registered it with the Register of Copyrights, and that she has always owned it. Exhibit A to the complaint is a spreadsheet identifying the work, its registration number, and screenshots of the alleged use, and Exhibit B is the registration certificate.
What the lawsuit alleges
Wareka alleges that on October 29, 2022, after the registration, the defendant displayed the photograph on its website, webpage, or social media to advertise its medical aesthetics and wellness practice, without a license. She alleges, on information and belief, that the defendant found the photograph online and copied it, and that she discovered the use on September 22, 2023, and notified the defendant in writing.

A summons was returned executed on September 24, 2026. After motions for extensions of time to respond filed October 9 and October 22, 2026, the court entered docket text orders with schedules on October 13 and October 23, 2026.
