The complaint

Tiziano Da Silva v. Natali Bukvić, No. 2:26-cv-10558 (C.D. Cal.), was filed September 16, 2026, ECF No. 1 (5 pages). Da Silva, a freelance celebrity photographer domiciled in France, demands a jury trial.

The works

Da Silva alleges he owns two photographs of the musician Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, first published outside the United States in June 2024 and registered within 90 days of publication as Reg. No. VA 2-410-250, effective July 31, 2024. The Copyright Office public record lists Tiziano Da Silva as claimant.

What the complaint alleges

Da Silva alleges, on information and belief, that Bukvić is responsible for the content of an Instagram account with more than 2 million followers, and that on or around August 21, 2024, she or someone acting for her copied the photographs and posted them there without permission. He alleges that by filing a DMCA counter-notification with Instagram she consented to personal jurisdiction in any U.S. forum where Meta Platforms, Inc. may be found, and alleges, on information and belief, that Meta can be found in this district. The single claim pleads copyright infringement and seeks an injunction, impoundment, damages or statutory damages, and fees.
